MLFCN April Monthly Meeting

Join the Michigan Local Food Council Network for our monthly phone/video conference, featuring topics and speakers relevant to the work of councils across the state. We will share federal and state legislative updates and include time to discuss offers, requests and connections among councils.
This month, we will be joined by Hagan Capnerhurst, with Michigan Food & Farming Systems, to share about the status of the Farm Bill and a bit about a National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition campaign taking place this week, "Farm Bill for All Farmers: Conservation not Consolidation” Week of Action (info on that campaign is here).
Steph Glidden, with Capitol Services, Inc., will also provide some information on engaging Michigan candidates for office in this election year, and we’ll discuss what councils are doing or would like support on in interacting with candidates. The call will conclude with offers, requests, and connections.
