Strengthening Relationships between Lenders and Farmers of Color shares the proceedings of a first-of-its-kind roundtable event attended by farm and financing advocates pursuing fair access to farm financing.

On April 23, 2014, farmers of color and representatives from Community Development Financial Institutions sat together for one full day with one intention: to know one another well enough to pursue common ground and explore ways to better support farmers of color with financial products and services. Participants committed to work together to: fill in gaps in knowledge and outreach; create tangible opportunities for farmers of color and lenders; and align efforts to increase access to resources that achieve mutually beneficial objectives.
