Hoophouses for Health: Becoming a Farm to School Partner

February 16, 2017 - Abby Harper

Hoophouses for Health is a program designed to increase access to Good Food for vulnerable families while at the same time expanding the Good Food infrastructure and season extension capacity of Michigan farmers.  Hoophouses for Health provides loans to farmers to build hoophouses, which they can then pay off by forming farm to school partnerships and providing food directly to school and early childhood meal programs.

This presentation provides an overview of the Hoophouses for Health program and how to become a farm to school partner. It is given by Abby Harper, Farm to School Specialist, CRFS.
