This document presents five case studies involving Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) that are actively providing financial products and services to borrowers in the food production sector. The case studies were prepared for the Financing Healthy Food Options Implementation Handbook. The handbook is part of the Capacity Building Initiative, which is a program of the Department of Treasury's CDFI Fund, designed to expand technical assistance and training opportunities for CDFIs nationwide and increase the ability of CDFIs to deliver financial products and services to underserved communities.
